Scientific excellence There are 2 certified scientific con- ferences tailored for the individual needs of further education: the 2nd Anti-Ageing Congress and the 7th Po- dology Congress. Both con- gresses will take place on Sunday, October 23. The 2nd Anti-Ageing Congress ­ comprises three sessions. In the first session, Anti-ageing in Aesthetic Medicine, Dr Frank Muggenthaler, head of the clinic Muggenthaler ­ Ästhetik, will present major non- invasive treatments and show how to combine them with cosmetic sur- gery. Dr Wolfgang Redka-Swoboda, med- ical head of Teoxane, will elaborate on hyaluronic acid including indi­ cations and techniques as well as follow-up care. In session 2 on Effective Anti-Ageing with Medical Beauty Treatments, Dr Jürgen Reus, plastic surgeon at the Centre for Plastic and Aesthetic Sur- gery at the Hohenzollern Clinic, will explain the main features of the treatment for Mesoanalog Lift vol- ume reconstruction. The topic of breast augmentation and reduction will be tackled by the plastic surgeon Dr. Karl Schuhmann, head physician at the Academic Teaching Hospital of the University of Duisburg-Essen in Hattingen. Session 3 features the topic Anti-­ Ageing in Dermatology. Prof. Dr. Michaela Axt-Gadermann, derma- tologist and professor at the Univer- sity of Coburg will explain in what way the intestinal flora has an im- pact on skin and weight. The dermatologist Dr. Birgit Bux- meyer from the Rosenpark Klinik will talk about proven and new medical anti-ageing treatments in the field of aesthetic dermatology. The 7th Podiatry Congress is focus- sing on diabetic foot in three ses- sions. The event has been certified by the ZFD, Landesverband Bayern e.V. with six points.
