The appoint- ment will be effective following the merger of P&G Specialty Beauty into Coty, which is expected to occur in October 2016. Bart Becht, currently interim CEO and chairman, will continue to serve as the chairman of Coty’s Board. Camillo Pane currently holds the position of exec- utive vice president of the company’s category development and is a member of the executive committee. Alexis Vaganay has been appointed gen- eral manager of Coty Luxury, UK and Ire- land. Previously, he worked for BIC and Unilever, where he held various GM and marketing roles across personal care and consumer products in North Amer- ica and Europe. Andrew Kelsall has been appointed general manager of Coty Professional Beauty, UK and Ireland. He has 20 years of sales and management experience and is currently the managing director for Wella in Brazil. Until the previously mentioned merger has been finalized, the current country leaders from Coty and Procter & Gamble Specialty Beauty remain fully responsible for their respective company brand port- folios and for all business matters in the UK and Ireland. The commercial headquarters for the UK and Ireland will be located in Wimbledon, London, after Procter and Gamble’s fine fragrance, colour cosmetics, a portion of its hair styling business, and its salon professional and hair colour businesses have been merged into Coty. www.coty.com CPL AROMAS Burkhard Juergens has been appointed as the new general manager for CPL Aro- mas’ UK sales divi- sion, following the retirement of Chrissy Marshall. Prior to this, he most recently served as IFF’s general manager for the fragrances division with responsibility for Germany, Russia, and Eastern Europe. He began his career in the fragrance industry with Haarman & Reimer (now Symrise) where he worked for 17 years in a number of positions. He will promote the company’s sun care brand Parsol and will work with experts to develop and bring to market new UV technologies. With more than 35 years of experience in pro- cess development within the home and personal care indus- try, Uli Osterwalder has been responsi- ble for several major projects, including the launch of two UV-absorbers. He is a member of the ISO UV protection stand- ards working group on SPF and UVA-PF, and a UV protection lecturer at the Intensive Course for Dermato-Cosmetic Sciences in Brussels.
