The idea was to transfer the usage of the lightsa- bre to the world of perfumes. This meant the briefing did not only require a concept for a closure, but also the cre- ation of a fully tailor-made closure system. The result was a screw cap which opens when pressing the outer button, which then opens and closes the closure mechanism and prepares the actuator for product application. When press- ing the button, the upper part sinks down into the closure system. When turned back, the upper part reappears and encompasses the actuator completely, thus preventing acci- dental actuation. The locking is perceivable acoustically but also mechanically. The colours match the three fragrances Empire For Man, Jedi For Man and Amidala For Woman. www.awantys.com Travel-friendly applicator COSMOGEN |The smaller version of the travel-friendly Squeeze’n Puff is ideal for women on-the-go. It allows consumers to use a tapping gesture when applying the product. The ergonomic appli- cator available in three dif- ferent versions is ideal for eye contouring. The patented open/close rotary head sys- tem distributes the right amount of formula before apply- ing it. It also prevents contamination and makes it easy to clean up the applicator. The applicator is available either flocked or Rubicell. www.cosmogen.fr Record number of exhibitors COSMETIC BUSINESS | At its twelfth show from 8 to 9 June 2016 in Munich, Cosmet- icBusiness recorded 410 exhibitors and represented companies from 22 countries who showed their latest developments to visitors from 57 countries.
