The event was set up by the FG II microbiology and company hygiene task force, and the FG IX analytics task force. The DGK prizes for young cos- metics scientists went to Dr. Jürgen Blaak (r) from Kneipp for his work on hair care for the elderly, and to Dr. Stefan Haag (no photo availa- ble) for his contribution entitled “Nitroxide spin probes in dermato- pharmacology” At the DGK annual general meeting the new committee was also elected. The new president is Dr. Bernd Herzog of BASF (centre), the secretary is Dr. Hartmut Schmidt-Le- werkühne, formerly of Beiersdorf (r) the treasurer is Dr. Sven Munke of Lornamead (l).
