Solutions Branding & Packaging
Design
created the packaging for
Doctor Babor
. Sharper differentiation
and a stronger medical positioning
were achieved by retaining the pre-
mium look. In view of new distribu-
tion channels such as pharmacies,
clear communication of the effect
played a key role. The depiction of a
honeycomb-like structural formula,
the inclusion of scientific wording
and numerical values in the prom-
ised effect as well as the use of tech-
nical-looking brackets underscore
the line’s medical appeal. The col-
our coding of the sub-ranges ensures
clear differentiation within the prod-
uct lines. The reworked hologram,
the secondary packaging enhanced
by means of an embossed texture
and the silver colour all contribute
to the premium appeal.
TNT Global Manufacturing
has
designed and manufactured the vel-
vet box dedicated to the limited edi-
tion of the 75-ml bottle, the last jewel
of
Angel Stars by Thierry Mugler
. The
box consists of a plastic base that
has been covered with a velvet wrap-
ping and decorated with hot stamped
stars.

RLC

Brandpack
,
BillerudKorsnäs
,
Fixum
and
VerDeSoft
worked together
on the development of a holistic
packaging concept for
Coscoon Cos-
metics’
DIY cosmetics kits. Brand-
pack created the graphic design for
the kits and the labels were produced
by Fixum. The overall package con-
struction, including the outer pack-
aging and separate DIY moulds, was
developed by RLC.
VerDeSoft
fur-
ther optimised the overall packag-
ing appearance in terms of sustain-
ability aspects. The concept aims at
replacing most of the plastic parts in
the current packaging with carton-
board and creates new options for
recycling.
Artisan
, the cartonboard
used for the packaging, can be repro-
cessed in many different ways.
Saralon
has developed a set of var-
ious functional inks
(Saral Inks)
to
print electronic applications com-
prising printed batteries, sensors
and displays for smart packages. This
technology can be applied to car-
tons, plastic boxes or glass bottles.
SaralLight
is a light-emitting pack-
age to be used for consumer engage-
ment and interaction. It utilises fully
printed batteries, circuits and sen-
sors in combination with tiny LEDs
to illuminate packaging.
