Natural cosmetics
with slowed growth

With
a growth of 4.5%, natural cosmetics
remains a stable growth market, just
like near-natural cosmetics (+7.9%),
while the cosmetics market in general
only saw a growth of 1.7% in 2016
according to the
IKW*
. The again-in-
creased consumer penetration in Ger-
many now amounts to 23.1%**. In drug-
stores, the sales of natural cosmetics
increased by about 7% and online sales
by 10%. However, sales in traditional
health food stores remained stable and
even decreased in pharmacies.
